Mystere

I love being a local in Vegas because we get sweet deals like 2 for 1 to Mystere! We got to go see this Cirque show a few weeks a go with our good friends Daniel and Brittney!...It was awesome! There were multiple times where I think I had my mouth wide open in amazement!...The things these people can do with their bodies are crazy!...they are so athletic!...Anyway the current deal is for KA also so hopefully we will be able to see that as well!

Stratosphere...yikes!

So a couple of weeks ago we went to the Stratosphere with Daniel and Brittney to go on the rides at the top!...it's been awhile since we have done this and I am learning that the older I get the more my distaste for rides such as these grow!...Adam and I had gone on the Xscream a long time ago and I was pretty sure that I was going to plummet to my death on that thing...(for those of you who don't know that is the one where you sit in a row and let the ride slam you straight down looking at the Strip below only to be brought back up and to have them do it again!...NOT FUN!)...So needless to say we did not ride that this time!...But Daniel and Brittney did however risk their lives to go on on the Insanity..which it alot like the swings you'd find at a fair that go around in a spinning circle and bring you back down...but we are of course in Vegas so everything is bigger and badder...these swings slide out over the edge of the Stratosphere and then proceed to tilt in a 70 degree angle while spinning over the lovely strip!...YUCK!..so after they were back safe all 4 of us rode the BIG SHOT which each of us did not remember being so scary!...Anyway it was a great night and we topped it off with delicious frozen custard from Love-It's...mmmm...ps..check out B&D's blog for more pics...I didn't have my camerea...this lovely photo was taken by a very animated photo worker at the Stratosphere...notice the model worthy expressions on the guys faces!

And...Septmeber/present

Ok so we're almost caught up...September was the month when they FINALLY started our house!...I guess with all the foreclosure craziness it takes a bit longer to dot the i's and cross the t's which is fine by me!...It's been so exciting to watch the stages...they really have been working fast! With-in 4 weeks they've layed the foundation, put up the framing and windows and are about set to lay the roofing!...I can't wait for it to be done I'm soo excited we are really blessed to be able to buy a home...thanks to the help and support of our families. It can for sure be intimidating to buy a house with no previous experience on the subject...luckily I'm kind of a research freak so I feel like we've got a good handle on the situation...so far! Our house should be ready about mid Dec/mid Jan they say, so here are some pics of what's been happening so far! Oh and my grandma Mickey turned 80 in September!...so we went down to California to celebrate and we got to spend some much needed time with our friends Troy and Tiff and their baby Makayla!..the whole family minus a few were there and everyone had an awesome time on the boat...Happy Birthday Grams!...I love you! So there you have it...our lives from April until now in a nutshell...hopefully we will be better at this...I have a feeling we will be because we definately have alot to be greatful for and what better way to document the things in life than by writing it all down as it happens!

August

So our summer was slated to be pretty low key with not much going on but ended up being a whirlwind of unexpected trips and lots of fun! After our fun Cabo trip we divided and conquered with who Adam headed out on a father and sons trip to Yosemite which was in jeopardy because of the fires that were going on around that time...luckily they were far from danger and able to have an awesome time...Shortly after that I headed out to the Poconos to watch my brother take the lead in Carousal the musical...he was awesome!...I finally got to expeience a true "Philly" cheesesteak and it was amazing...I had 3 in 3 days from 3 of the most famous cheesesteak places in Philly...needless to say after I cam home with one in hand for Adam I was off cheesesteaks for a while. I did manage to catch the Liberty Bell and Indepenence Hall (I thing that's what its called) so it was educational as well as appetizing!

DCFC Concert + Other Stuff

WE just went and saw the Death Cab for Cutie (they are an indie rock band) concert tonight and it was amazing! It was definitely the 2nd best concert I have ever been to (U2 is my favorite band of all-time and thus my favorite concert). They played at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel. The set list was awesome and their performance and energy were great! We went with Daniel and Brittney and had a great time. Good concerts always lift my spirits for some time afterward which is good because finals are coming up soon. Also, I advanced to the next round of the moot court competition at my school. Moot court is basically pretend court. And in the next round, I have to argue for the opposite side of what I argued the first time. So I have to prepare for that and prepare for finals at the same time - and law school finals are incredibly difficult and I get nervous diarrhea just thinking about them (I know, that's not the nicest image, but A) I didn't ask you to imagine it; and B) I wanted to put the nervousness into perspective) Thanks, bye.

Latest Updates

Hello people, Adam here. Michelle and I still haven't totally caught the blogging bug yet, but we will try and be more up to date. This summer I will be externing (same as interning) for Judge Allen Earl in state district court. That will be exciting and provide me with some great experience. Michelle will be working and kicking it this summer. We will be in New York for a few days in May. That about rounds out our summer festivities. I just hope that I make it through these last few weeks of law school alive!

P.S. Don't forget to vote in our poll!

Yep

Here are your 2008 Mountain West Conference Champions!!

Day for Celebration

Yesterday was a day for celebration. Michelle's Dad's softball team that he coaches won the tournament that they were playing here in Vegas. Also, Michelle and I signed the contract to purchase our home!! We bought through KB Home so the house will be built and should be done by the end of October. We will be living in the same neighborhood as our good friends, Daniel and Brittney Dye, so we are really excited! AND the Runnin' Rebels worked the BYU Cougars to the tune of 76-61 to take the Mountain West Conference Championship for the 2nd straight year!! Go Rebels!!!!!
So, that is why yesterday was a day for celebration.

Michelle goes to Conneticut

Well I just got back from Hartford Conn., where I was there to watch my baby brother Jake (who is actually graduating from college this spring) play the lead in the musical On the Town. He did an awesome job and definatley got the musical talent in the Delaney family. Anyway, it was so crazy to me that the weather can be so different in different parts of the country at the same time. I was greeted to fresh snow when just a few hours earlier I had left comfortable 65-70 degree weather in Vegas. Well, the trip was awesome considering I loath flying...I don't know why, I used to fly a grip when I was younger and loved it!...Now I just think about it way too much. Luckily I had my sister with me on the way there so it wasn't as bad but on the way home I was by myself...good thing I was exhausted...I just kind of zoned out the whole flight. I enjoyed the arcitecture of back east everything looks so indivual unlike the track homes of the west. But hey a house is a home so I'm just excited at the real possibility it is that Adam and are going to hopefully be making that purchase soon!

It's ON!!!

Rummikub that is!...well we started a fierce compition or on going game with our great friends Daniel and Brittney...we decided to play by the rules as stated in the ones that come with the game and not the ones as per the Delaneys...(for some reason for as long as I can remember my family has played by a different set of rules i.e. anyone heard of adding a 1 after the 13...I have and it's brillant!...anyway!) And so it began with the boys taking the first three games and rubbing it in our faces - that is until they decided we should play one more game to let the girls have a chance at winning!...Hmmm too bad for them because we cleaned up...well actually Brittney did!...Adam hadn't even laid down yet and Daniel had most of his tiles still...luckily I had been able to get rid of most of mine before she went out and as of now Brittney is in the lead by a long shot...But that is the beauty of the game because it can change at any moment!...This will likely be a monthy match so if you are not familar with the rules and want to see the current standings you can check out the on-going battle @ dambrummikub.blogspot.com! Stay tuned because this battle is far from over...

Adam's Birthday!!!

Adam turned 26 on Feburary 11th and decided to have somewhat of a low key celebration. Since his birthday fell on a Monday this year and he's busy with law school we went out on Saturday to dinner at Kona Grill with Natalie and our friends Daniel, Brittney and baby Kate! It was a great time with great food...and Adam said it was a great birthday!...I love you, Babe!

LOST!!!

OK so Adam and I never had gotten into Lost because we both thought it looked dumb and we weren't that intereseted in it...that is until the wonderful writers' strike!...We found ourselves with nothing to watch (oh no!) and then the season premier of Lost happened. We both came home one day and were like everybody is talking about how great this show is maybe we should just rent it since nothing else is on...We rented the 1st season on a Friday and had 1 episode to go by Monday...CRAZY! Well naturally when we finished we couldn't stop there so of cousre we rented the 2nd season...which we finished by that Thurs or Fri...And then came the 3rd season and all that it was to now being finally caught up to the 4th and current season as it stands. We are hooked as you can imagine and recommend that all who haven't seen this show rent it now. Just spread it out a little or you may start have dreams in "Lost"...can't wait to find out what this thing is actually all about!

Michelle's Birthday

Michelle turned the big 2-6 on 1/6/08 and we had a blast celebrating it! It even involves Natalie playing Guitar Hero...(my latest obsession and the only game I don't get crazy faced and red-eyed when Adam plays it). We had a great night out at dinner at The Cheesecake Factory with friends who included Natalie, Daniel & Britt, and Ryan & Brittany then some of us tried to go bowling again but the wait was way too long so we ended up having a Guitar Hero battle at the gracious Dye family's house...sooo much fun! It was a great birthday! Thanks to all who came out and made it special!
